Eleanoir studied ballet and contemporary dance for four years full-time in Dublin. She continued her training in the UK with Dorothy Stevens, an examiner of the Royal Academy of Dance, where she studied ballet, modern, tap, national and contemporary dance for a further 4 years. Eleanoir also studied at the Royal Academy of Dance (London) and gained a BA (Hons) in Dance Education and now works for the Royal Academy of Dance where she is responsible for training potential teachers. She has recently upgraded her professional development and achieved a Masters in Dance Teaching.

Eleanoir studied Speech and Drama from the age of four, completing many examinations with Lamda. She also studied at Kylemore Abbey for her second level education where she was introduced to the Victoria College of Music and continued to complete her Grades and Diploma’s.

Studying in the UK she completed most of her training in Wath upon Dearne studying under Paul Schofield. Eleanoir attained her Associate and Licentiate Diplomas in Speech, Acting, Verse Speaking, Shakespeare and Mime from the Victoria College of Music and Lamda. In 1999 she was awarded a Fellowship in Speech and Drama. Her drama experience also included being trained as a method actress by Lottie Ward.

Eleanoir also taught at Studio Le Pointe Leeds, Dorothy Stevens School of Dance and her own school in Halifax, England. Then returning to Ireland to establish teaching Dance, Drama and Performing Arts in Co Mayo and Galway. In addition to classes within our studios both Eleanoir and Phil also teach Drama and Dance workshops within National and Secondary Schools in Mayo and Galway.

She also plays a very active part Directing and Choregraphing for Secondary Schools and some very well-known Musical Societies.

Eleanoir and Phil have been teaching Ballet, Speech and drama at venues throughout County Mayo and Galway since 1999. Some of the original students have progressed to drama and dance colleges throughout Ireland and the UK. We are very proud of our students and receive great fulfilment when we watch them succeeding in (RAD) Ballet and Speech and Drama (Musical Theatre) examinations and participating in our Show productions.
